Exhibition Description
Stringing Beads / Ensartar Cuentas brings together the work of Orquidia Violeta, Mariela Finvarb, Beatriz Bellorín, and Marisol Valencia in an exhibition that grew from the relationships formed during and after the 2024 Stelo Summer Invitational Residency. Expanded through a year of virtual gatherings, the exhibition reflects on how artistic dialogue continues to shape creative practice beyond the residency itself. Through photography, video, textiles, ceramics, painting, and installation, the artists explore migration, identity, memory, grief, ecology, ancestral knowledge, and care. Like beads threaded together, each work retains its individuality while contributing to a larger conversation about belonging, transformation, and the enduring connections forged through shared experience.
