Day of Mindfulness: A Pause in Nature
Hosted by Stelo Arts at Camp Colton in partnership with Many Rivers Sanghas
In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to lose touch with the present moment. Join us for a peaceful Day of Mindfulness hosted by Stelo Arts at Camp Colton, in partnership with Many Rivers Sanghas, as we take time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves and the world around us.
Drawing from the mindfulness tradition established by Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh, we will spend the day cultivating mindfulness in nature, practicing guided sitting and walking meditations, and engaging in a community of compassionate practice.
This free event offers a unique opportunity to:
Learn more about the mindfulness tradition of Thích Nhất Hạnh
Deepen your practice of mindfulness in a supportive Sangha (community)
Experience the calming effects of nature through meditation
Participate in a pebble meditation—a simple but powerful practice for cultivating peace and awareness
Enjoy a picnic lunch with fellow practitioners
Whether you’re brand new to meditation or a longtime practitioner, this is a welcoming and inclusive space to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the stillness of nature.
What To Bring:
An open and receptive heart
Your sack lunch, snacks to share, and reusable water bottle (potable water available)
Clothing appropriate for weather conditions
Personal items if staying the night
Join us for a nourishing day of mindfulness, reflection, and community. We look forward to practicing with you in the beautiful and tranquil setting of Camp Colton!
