Artist Respite Residency

We are opening up camp to artists of all creative practices for a self-directed residency time at Camp Colton hosted by Stelo Arts. This residency is designed to be open-ended, no structured programming, just time for you to rest and create at your own pace, with no expectations of certain outcomes.

For this upcoming session, we are adding a special communal component to our gathering. We are asking our residents to spend a portion of their time helping Neal, our onsite caretaker, with a few projects around the camp. These collaborative efforts may include working on the Dome, building benches, and other campus projects that may come to mind.

This shared work is a beautiful way to connect with the physical space and will happen in addition to your dedicated, self-directed time to create.

The Details

~ Applicants may select either a solo lodging or something that fits a family. Please be specific in your application!

~ We will prioritizing artists that have not done a previous respite with us. Please make sure you note all time ranges & lodging options that work for you in case your first option isn’t available.

~ Accommodations will be fully subsidized. All other costs (food, transportation, etc) will be up to each guest.
