ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are pleased to announce that HTTP:// Sci-Fi Collective has been awarded a c3: Working Library Residency. From July 15 - August 18 the group will take over the Working Library space located at 8836 N Lombard in St. Johns.
The group invites the community to engage in conversations, critiques, screenings, and readings centered around science fiction media.  http://'s time at Working Library will inform the development of a collaborative fiction which engages world-building and social critique, ultimately manifesting as a publication.

ABOUT HTTP:// SCI-FI COLLECTIVE

http:// Sci-Fi Collective is a collaboration between four artists (Grayson Bear, egg dahl, Travis Geoghegan, and Madeleine Barbier) which approaches science fiction from a cultural and social lens. Their aim is to evaluate the role sci-fi plays in social critique as well as the development of an equitable society.

We at Stelo humbly acknowledge that our programming is being held on the traditional lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, bands of Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla and many other Tribes who made their homes along the Columbia (Wimahl) and Willamette (Whilamut) rivers.

We offer respectful recognition to the Native communities in our region, and to those who have stewarded this land throughout the generations. Please consider the many legacies of violence, displacement, migration, and settlement that bring us together here today. We recognize the continual displacement of Native people by the United States and are committed to working to dismantle the ongoing effects of this settler colonial legacy. Please join us in respecting the contributions Indigenous peoples have, and continue to make to our community, country, and world.
